1. Believe in the Product
When it comes to offering something new, one of the first things you want to focus on is excitement—yours and your clients’. Patients trust your expertise, so if you’re genuinely enthusiastic about a product, they’ll feel reassured. Try framing your excitement around how this new option can benefit them specifically, whether that’s a price point, a more tailored result, or simply something that fits their unique anatomy. Authentic enthusiasm can make a big difference in the initial conversations with clients.
2. Know Your Rewards and Discounts
Pricing is always top of mind for both you and your clients. Offering incentives can be a great way to boost interest in a new product. We’ve found that clients appreciate a simple, effective rewards program, which can add that extra level of value without creating more work for you. A rewards program or occasional discounts give clients a reason to try something new while giving you the flexibility to test out the product’s popularity before making a huge investment. Keeping things straightforward and easy for clients to redeem ensures they’ll stay interested and feel appreciated.
3. Match the Product to the Patient’s Needs
We’ve all heard of injectors who take a one-size-fits-all approach, but you know better—success in this field means personalizing every treatment. Not every neurotoxin or filler works the same on each area of the face, and sometimes a mix of products can deliver the best results. It’s super important to educate clients on how you choose the right product for the right area, based on their goals and unique features. Explaining the “why” behind your choice not only boosts their confidence in you but also helps them feel like they’re involved in the process.
4. Keep Pricing Transparent and Consistent
For many clients, a menu of products at different price points can create confusion—and sometimes make them question the quality of a lower-priced option. We recommend pricing all injectables at a similar rate, so the focus stays on achieving the best result rather than on saving a few dollars. When pricing is clear and uniform, patients feel more comfortable trusting your judgment on the product choice.
5. Lean on Community
Introducing something new can bring up all kinds of questions, especially as you start seeing different patient responses. Our advice? And the whole reason we’re here? Don’t go it alone! Joining a professional group, whether on Facebook or through a mentorship network, can make all the difference. The Injectables EDU community, for example, connects injectors who share tips, troubleshoot, and support each other through product launches and other challenges. Having a group to lean on not only boosts your confidence but also helps you navigate any bumps that may come up as you bring a new product to life in your practice.
