Key Components of Your Aesthetics Tool Kit
First and Foremost, Time.
Where attention goes, energy flows. Be prepared to invest attention, energy, and time (so much time) into your aesthetics practice. The juice is worth the squeeze, but you need to be ready to totally dedicate yourself to building this new beginning.
Top Software Solutions
You’ll want to invest in a great EMR that is both cost-effective and user-friendly. Something like Jane perhaps? You’ll also want an email marketing platform. Having a monthly newsletter is a great way to stay in touch with your clients. Explore your low-cost options-they’re out there! Last but not least, get yourself a good financial management system. You want to follow the money, honey. Doing this from the beginning will save you a lot of time (and money!).
Essential Botox Supplies
First of all, it’s all about the supplier. You can look into local suppliers, but my go-to is Henry Schein. Look for good prices and customer services. You’ll also want to stock up on EasyTouch syringes. When you start, pick cheap and effective. They won’t be as fancy as the special botox syringes, but it’s the way to go. And don’t forget about the mini fridge! It doesn’t have to be fancy. But you can’t store your leftovers in it, ok?
Business Essentials
Know your state practice laws. You need to find out what is in your scope and what is not. For NPP’s, you have to know what you can and cannot do. Speak to your state NP association. Forming your LLC is also extremely important. Sure, you probably won’t get sued, but if you do, you want to make sure that you’ve covered your ass(ets). And get insurance! You need malpractice. It’s expensive, but it’s a must. Do not practice unprotected!
