- Choosing the Right Business Structure: Set up an appropriate legal entity, like an MSO or LLC, to comply with local laws and protect your personal assets. This structure is vital in many states with restrictions on non-physicians owning medical practices.
- Good Faith Exams: Conduct a Good Faith Exam (GFE) with a licensed medical provider like an NP, PA, or MD at the start of care and periodically afterward, ensuring compliance with the standard of care in your state.
- Product Sourcing and Safety: Always purchase FDA-approved products from verified vendors. Unauthorized sources risk both patient safety and legal repercussions.
- Training and Certification: There’s no official certification for injectables, but comprehensive training records and a service log for each team member are crucial in case of an investigation by a regulatory board.
